Lukas Kalman, 31, of the 700 block of North Emroy Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with attempted aggravated arson, attempted aggravated residential arson and battery to a police officer at 5:22 p.m. Jan. 1 after allegedly setting a fire inside his residence.
Battery
Isiah Thomas, 27, of the 2600 block of Marigold Drive, Sauk Village, was charged with battery and disorderly conduct at 10:42 a.m. Jan. 5.
Carolyn Vittorio, 23, of the 400 block of South Highland Avenue, Lombard, was charged with domestic battery at 11:43 a.m. Jan. 8.
Cannabis
Martin Fox, 34, of the 3700 block of Home Avenue, Berwyn, was cited for driving without a front license plate and for possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 4:08 p.m. Jan. 7.
Carlos Ruelas, 30, of the 2400 block of S. Laramie Avenue, Cicero, was cited for unlawful possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle at 9:34 p.m. Jan. 8.
Criminal damage to property
A resident on the 200 block of South Cottage Hill Avenue reported that someone damaged a sign in his front yard between Jan. 4 and Jan. 8.
Drugs
Andre Reyes, 53, of the 600 block of Albert Street, Elmhurst, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance a 3:30 p.m. Jan. 5. The charge relates to a June incident when police were called to his residence to search for a possible intruder.
James Leon Garner, 50, of the 6100 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Chicago, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance at 3:17 p.m. Jan. 10.
DUI
Cherlynn Bolden, 26, of the 1600 block of South Keeler Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, use of an electronic communication device on a roadway and possession of adult use cannabis by a driver at 8:14 a.m. Jan. 6.
Gustavo Dimas-Costeno, 28, of the 300 block of Ardmore Avenue, Villa Park, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without a valid driver’s license, speeding and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle at 9:13 p.m. Jan. 6.
Ekaterina Bogdanovskaya, 42, of the first block of Forest Avenue, Riverside, was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving without insurance, improper lane use, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and possession of open alcohol at 2:49 a.m. Jan. 8.
Deshoun Murff, 22, of the 5300 block of West Van Buren Street, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence, unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver and illegal transportation of open alcohol at 4:07 p.m. Jan. 8.
Johnny Selph, 46, of the 2100 block of Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn, was charged with driving under the influence, stopping, standing or parking on a roadway and driving without insurance at 3:19 a.m. Jan. 9.
Identity theft
An unknown person opened a Bank of America checking account in a resident’s name, as reported on Jan. 4.
A resident reported on Jan .1 that an unknown person made an unauthorized transaction on his credit card.
A resident reported that between Aug. 12 and Jan. 7 an unknown person attempted to open several lines of credit in her name.
A resident reported on Jan. 9 that an unknown person used her information to open two fraudulent accounts between Nov. 1 and Dec. 16.
A resident reported Jan. 9 that a suspect used her information to open a T-Mobile account on Oct. 20.
Stolen vehicle
A tractor and trailer were reported stolen from Ego Trucking, 155 Industrial Dr., between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 8.
Theft
A resident on the 900 block of Hawthorne Avenue reported that someone stole a package from her porch between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Jan. 9.

Two suspects reportedly stole clothing from Kohl’s, 303 S. Route 83, at 4:39 p.m. Jan. 9, loading the clothes and a shopping cart into their vehicle and then driving away northbound on Route 83.
A resident on the 300 block of West Winthrop Avenue reported that a package was stolen from his porch between 10:36 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9.
A resident on the 100 block of Elmhurst Avenue reported on Jan. 10 that an unknown suspect removed the registration sticker from his license plate.
Theft of services
A representative of Avis Budget Group, 890 N. York St., reported on Jan. 6 that a suspect has failed to return a silver Kia Forte leased in August.

Victor Lopez-Jimenez, 18, of the 1000 block of Ferrari Drive, Bensenville, was charged with driving a vehicle with suspended Illinois registration, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance at 12:31 a.m. Jan. 7.
Elizardo Velasquez, 45, of the 900 block of West North Avenue, Villa Park, was charged with driving while his license was revoked and driving with suspended registration at 4:53 p.m. Jan. 7.
Kevent Pueyo-Perazza, 27, of the 1000 block of North 4th Avenue, Maywood, was charged with driving with a revoked driver’s license and improperly tinted windows at 7:46 p.m. Jan. 7.
Antonio Berry, 28, of the 6100 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving with suspended registration and driving without insurance at 10:23 p.m. Jan. 7.
Santiago Pascual-Hernandez, 28, of the 1000 block of Ferrari Avenue, Bensenville, was charged with disorderly conduct — befouling property, driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance at 9:10 a.m. Jan. 8.
Brandon Iturbe Mendoza, 20, of the 1400 block of North 46th Court, Melrose Park, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license, improperly tinted windows and a loud exhaust at 1:13 a.m. Jan. 9.
Arita Bassett, 31, of the 9100 block of South Burnside Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving with a suspended driver’s license and with improperly tinted windows at 8:26 p.m. Jan. 9.

Weapons
Jose Santiago, 22, of the 200 block of West Roosevelt Avenue, Bensenville, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon at 3:34 p.m. Jan. 5 after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance and located a handgun in his vehicle.
In the same incident, Daniela Honorato, 21, of the 700 block of North Kenilworth Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged with aggravated use of a weapon — no firearm owners identification card.
