Selfish people
I am disgusted at all the selfish people complaining about money for Ukraine. During the recent cold snap, did your gas and electricity keep you safe and warm? Ukrainians, through no fault of their own, don’t have these unless you believe the dictators inane excuses for war. It has been the legacy of the U.S., since World War I, to assist other countries fighting oppression — sometimes with rousing success, other times with disaster. As long as Ukrainians continue to fight for their freedom, unlike the Afghan army which just laid down their arms, we should vigorously support them.
No answer
I live in the 2nd Ward of Waukegan and I just learned today that there are three police officers assigned to the 2nd Ward. I have emailed and I have called, and I have never received an answer from any of them. We have problems here in the 2nd Ward in my neighborhood. The speeding is unbelievable. We have stop signs — four-way stop signs. They speed through it, but will it take a child to be hit and injured or possibly killed before anything is done? I am so disappointed in this city of Waukegan for not enforcing any of their rules.
Cut it off
Someone in Talk of the County asked if we making somebody rich in Russia or Ukraine? That’s probably a good point. I mean, maybe this money isn’t even going for the war. Maybe the Ukraine president and Putin got a thing going to take all our money and our weapons. Has anybody checked into all this? I mean you can only do so much, and why is it just us? Is any other country helping Ukraine? What they ought to do is just get rid of Putin and be done with it. I mean, let’s face it, he’s one man. You cut it off at the top and you know, the others will follow.
Don’t bother sending them
Hey Republicans, now that you’re in charge of the House, you’re going to start sending out subpoenas, you think? We are going to do exactly what Bone Spur did, and ignore every subpoena you send. We, the Democrats, we are going to ignore it just like Bone Spur did, so don’t bother sending them.

Today’s young people — woke people or left people — these folks are people that were spoiled by their parents. This is two generations that you spoiled your kids by throwing money at them and not giving them your love and time. Now, this is what the ramifications are.
