Bears gave up: It’s bad enough that the hapless Chicago Bears lost their ninth game in a row (a new franchise record for futility) but the players seemed to throw in the towel by halftime. What a poor reflection on the team, the coaches and the city of Chicago as well as themselves. Their performance quite simply was unbearable!

Please don’t compare: I’m deeply sorry for the tragedy that befell that NFL player on Monday night but comparing his bravery on the football field to the risk that our soldiers face every day on the battlefield does a great disservice to both professions.

Getting GOP back on track: If the Republican Party wants to revive and return as a political force party, it needs to present a positive plan, agenda and platform with some goals to improve and help America rather than just whining and crying sour grapes like everyone is picking on us. This is the only way they will get former Republicans back and attract old and young independent voters to the party. This includes cutting all ties with the biggest anchor pulling the Republican Party down, Donald Trump, and rein in the other radical Republicans.

Terrorist attacks: Our electrical substations are being attacked nationwide. Authorities seem to think it’s just simple vandalism. Remember right after 9/11, there were many theories on how to completely cripple our country. One was to knock out sub stations. They said it would cripple millions. Wake up. Treat these as terrorist attacks that will continue unless we stop them.

Pathological liar: Republican Congressman-elect George Santos completely fabricated his resume while running for Congress with countless lies. Having been caught, it has become clear Santos is a pathological liar, lacks any sense of Integrity and has no business serving in Congress.

Christmas help a blessing: How wonderful to hear people giving during the Christmas season, children receiving gift cards, clothing, toys and food giveaways. Back in the day, when I was raising my two children all by myself, the only thing I had going was Goldblatt’s and Sears. I would lay away my items in September and pay on them until December. Father Michael Pfleger gave away $50 gift certificates to anyone in line. Comparing yesterday to now is a blessing to those in need.
