To Ken of Burbank, whatever Gov. J.B. Pritzker has done regarding his taxes, It’s comparing grains of sand to the mountain of dishonesty that Trump has promulgated with his taxes for half a century. What you and all of the other unquestioning followers don’t understand is Trump is a lifelong con man and a very good one. What he fears most about his taxes being fully exposed to bright sunlight and fully audited in plain view is they will prove that he is not only not a billionaire, but he is most likely, at least technically, under water and functionally bankrupt.

To Geri from Tinley Park, I really hope your wish comes true that Trump has his own island one day. LOL. Millions of reasonable thinking people would finally have a place with values and morals, and would flock to live there in peace. I’d be one of the first. America is on a terrible path nowadays. The woke Democrats won’t open their eyes to see it till it’s too late.

If you still support Donald Trump and his minions, after just the latest lies, threats and the tax evasion tactics, I feel sorry for you. You would rather hate someone than support those who are trying to help you. Let’s stop the hate before it’s too late and maybe 2023 can be great.

I just want to thank Orland Bakery for an amazing job involving the pickup of my order of Christmas desserts on Christmas Eve. Offering a drive-up, pickup system where the whole process takes about 20 minutes, I am so grateful. I applaud you.

Ted Slowik, I really enjoy your column on “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Now, the federal government needs to look at the double benefits they send to welfare recipients because they just sell the extra for money. The senior citizens worked long and hard and even though we got an increase effective in January, my mortgage also increased effective in January. So I end up no better off. The seniors have paid our dues, we could at least get $50 in SNAP benefits a month regardless of income.
