Lake County authorities Tuesday released images of tattoos in an attempt to identify a woman whose remains were discovered last month in Libertyville.

The coroner’s office said it hopes that someone recognizes the tattoos.

The woman had dark brown and gray hair, and partial upper dentures. On her upper right shoulder area she had a tattoo of two yellow and blue-green fish in a yin and yang, with an unknown tattoo above it. On her left arm, the woman had a floral design with a ribbon possibly containing the letters C-A-T.

The woman’s remains were found Nov. 19 in the 1800 block of Hollister Avenue, and additional remains were found in a nearby wooded area. So far, authorities have not been able to identify her.

Authorities say that a woman whose body was discovered last month in Libertyville had several tattoos including these images. Anyone who recognizes the tattoos is asked to contact Libertyville police or the Lake County coroner's office.
