Migrant caravan floods border crossing in Texas. The caption on the picture read: Migrants, mostly from Nicaragua, wait Monday to board a Customs and Border Protection bus in El Paso, Texas. The bus was parked at the very end of the unfinished border wall. Biden appointed border czar Kamala Harris, what are you doing at this border?
J.I. Oak Lawn
When is our president going to go to our Southern border to see what a crisis it is? He had time to campaign, yet can’t take the time to see what’s happening with the flow of migrants coming here. Your newspaper had an article page 5 Tuesday. Fox News is the only station showing what’s happening.

It seems Carl of Orland Park enjoys attacking the greatest president in my lifetime, No. 44, Donald J. Trump. If his hero Joe Biden, is doing such a great job then you won’t mind volunteering to provide sanctuary shelter for the millions of illegals invading our country.
Tony, Blue Island
Instead of hosting drag queens at the White House with his wife, Jill, at his side, shouldn’t President Biden be grabbing Homeland Security Secretary Nicholas Mayorkas by the ears and shouting fix this border crisis, now! Soon the Title 42 edict will expire and the U.S. will soon encounter the worst possible scenario and the loss of our sovereignty. This is just horrible, plain and simple, and a mockery to all legal law-abiding citizens in America.
Don, Orland Park
I just heard on the news that president wants to pass a bill to provide more money for the migrants coming over the border. Well, I certainly could use some extra cash to pay my increasing light, food and gas bills. I’ve only worked all of my life and I would like help from our government.

I saw the report about Hunter Biden over 2 1/2 years ago, right before the political debate. Hunter business associates spoke of it. Spoke of Hunter Biden, the big guy and his two brothers doing business with three countries and getting millions or more. Hunters laptop was dropped off more than three years or so and never picked up from the man’s business. There has been no report until recently by all of the channels, but Fox.

I wonder where Tom of Garfield Ridge does his shopping if he’s paying $7 for a gallon of milk and $6 for a gallon of gas. Yes. Does Trump’s Mar-a-Lago have a grocery store on the complex? Nobody charges that much.
Marianne, Orland
Tom from Garfield Ridge complained about paying $6 for a gallon of gas and $7 for a gallon of milk. Well I just bought gas on Monday and paid $3.09 and a gallon of milk at the Jewel in Oak Lawn is $3.45. I don’t know where Tom is shopping, but I have a feeling he really doesn’t know too much about what he’s talking about.
Bill, Oak Lawn
I don’t know where you’re buying your gas and milk, but right now gas isn’t $6 a gallon and milk isn’t $7 a gallon. So I don’t know why you make things up like Trump. There’s an imbalance in the economy, supply and demand, very easy to figure out and the whole world has a bad economy. The economy in Europe, we should blame that on Biden too? OPEC is refusing to produce oil, that drives the price up. There were ships sitting off the coast of California for months. Is that Biden’s fault? The economy is bad all over the world, but our economy is doing better than most.

In political elections for offices in government, the candidate with the most campaign funds is usually the winner. TV commercials are expensive. A candidate with not enough money has no chance. They have to change the situation so the best person for the office has a chance to win.

The Biden administration talks about gun control but doesn’t seem concerned about deadly threats to our country from Russian terrorists. On Dec 8, a U.S. government-authorized swap sent convicted arms dealer Viktor Bout back to Russia for WNBA player Brittney Griner. In 2012, Bout was convicted and imprisoned for providing weapons that fueled deadly conflicts worldwide, including guns, anti-aircraft missiles and plastic explosives. It seems disingenuous for the Biden administration to talk of gun control while releasing a habitual soulless criminal called the merchant of death.
Christine, Evergreen Park
Apparently, the tough Biden administration negotiators only had to give up Russian arms dealer known as the merchant of death to get WNBA player Britanny Greiner back. Unfortunately, they were unable to get Marine veteran Paul Whelan released as well. Perhaps someone should send Biden a copy of “The Art of the Deal.”
David, Tinley Park
I would like to know what all these Monday morning quarterbacks would have done to get Whelan out of Russia. They blame Biden and give their MAGA leader Trump a pass and he did nothing to secure Whelan’s release when he was president. If you don’t have a solution then you are part of the problem.

Tom, it was good to read that you are finally catching on to the Republican’s plans to do away with, or do serious harm to, Social Security and Medicare. This has been part of their long-term plan to end the New Deal programs. Remember they like giving big tax breaks to corporations and the top 1%. Why do working and middle class voters continue to vote for these people and against their own interests?

Anyone remember the silent screen actor, Lon Chaney? He was known as the man with a thousand faces. He acted in countless movies playing people of different races. Poor Mr. Chaney would not make a good living today. The woke people would make sure of that. He would be know as a man of one face.
