Norridge

Arrest

Christopher Monson, 33, of the 4300 block of North Overhill Avenue, Norridge, on Dec. 10 was charged with domestic battery, police said.

Genesis Gonzalez, 20, of the 3300 block of Monitor Avenue, Chicago, on Dec. 5 was charged in the 4300 block of North Harlem Avenue with driving without a valid license, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving without two headlights, police said.

Katherina Deyanira, 29, of the 3800 block of North Pittsburgh Avenue, Chicago, on Dec. 5 failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operating an uninsured vehicle and illegal transportation of liquor following a crash in the 7600 block of West Irving Park Avenue, police said.

Burglary

The front window on the south side of Dunkin, and the front door glass window at Subway, both at 5050 N. Cumberland Avenue, were both reported smashed in attempted burglaries at both businesses on Dec. 12.

A purse containing cash, debit and identification cards, clothing and Air Buds were reported stolen Dec. 9 from a 2021 Nissan Kick and a Jaguar F-Pace, respectively, parked in the lot at XSport Fitness, 4260 N. Harlem Avenue.

The owner’s manual was reported stolen Dec. 6 from an unlocked 2004 Cadillac DeVille parked in the 4000 block of North Osceola Avenue.

Criminal damage to property

The passenger side door of a 2018 Toyota parked Dec. 12 in the lot near Best Buy, 4101 N. Harlem Avenue, was tagged with graffiti.

The 4000 blocks of Odell and North Octavia avenues were targets of spray painting reported to police on Dec. 12. In the 4000 block of Odell Avenue, the garage door of a home and a 2004 Buick LeSabre parked in front of home were reported tagged with graffiti. In the 4000 block of North Octavia Avenue, a garage door and inflatable Christmas decorations were reported tagged with graffiti.

The rear passenger window was reported shattered Dec. 11 on a 2006 Land Rover Range Rover parked in the lot at XSport Fitness, 4260 N. Harlem Ave.

Theft

Theft from customer

An iPhone was reported stolen Dec. 7 from customer’s purse at Lovisa, 4104 N. Harlem Ave.

Package theft

A package containing clothing was reported stolen Dec. 8 from the front porch of a home in the 4800 block of Delphia Avenue.

Retail theft

Four bottles of Casamigos Tequila were reported stolen Dec. 8 Target, 4050 N. Harlem Ave. Estimated loss was $194.96.

Nearly $1,800 worth of liquor, plus health and beauty products were reported stolen Dec. 6 at Amazon Fresh, 4211 N. Harlem Ave. by a man who loaded up a shopping cart with merchandise and left the store.

A box of cigarillos was reported stolen Dec. 6 from Norridge Tobacco, 7048 W. Forest Preserve Dr. Estimated loss was $29.70.

Theft of vehicle parts

The catalytic converter on a 2005 Honda Accord parked in the 7700 block of West Sunnyside Avenue was reported stolen Dec. 12.

Harwood Heights

Arrest

Debra Naser, 65, of the 6700 block of West Talcott Avenue, Chicago, on Dec. 4 was charged with DUI, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident following a crash at North Sayre and Wilson avenues, police said.

Arieon Anderson, 23, of the 1300 block of Sibley Boulevard, Calumet City, on Dec. 3 was charged with driving without a license, driving on an expired registration and operating a vehicle on a suspended registration following a traffic stop at Harlem and Foster avenues, police said.

Burglary

A Sony camera, a tripod, and two saws on Dec. 12 were reported stolen from the garage of a home in the 7500 block of Ainslie Street.

Theft

The catalytic converter was reported stolen Dec. 12 from a 2002 Acura TL parked in the 4700 block of North Newland Avenue.
