The owners of Park Ridge’s vintage, beloved Pickwick Theatre announced last week their plans to close in January, and people have taken to social media to express their affection for the Art Deco icon.

Since the original story ran Tuesday announcing the impending closure, the owners said their phone has been ringing, and they plan to talk with people interested in possibly operating the movie business. The co-owners, Dino Vlahakis and Dave Loomos, plan to continue ownership of the building.

In this period of uncertainty about the theater’s future, however, we want to hear from you.

What does the Pickwick Theatre mean to you? Did you see your first movie there or go on a date there with someone special? Did you work there, or nearby, or know the personnel or have some personal connection?

Maybe you recollect something interesting or outlandish about the theater, or have memorabilia from back in the day.

Tell us about about the theater’s significance to you and your family. Write us an email, and include a photo if you like, at [email protected].
