Two of a kind: Donald Trump has been allowed to resurface on Twitter and that seems to say as much about Elon Musk as it does the disgraced ex-president. For sure it’s two birds of a feather, two peas in a pod or better yet … two jerks with their quirks!
Same old Bears: Watching da Bears play football it’s obvious what they do best. They lose close games while getting their marquee player injured. It’s a methodology that goes back to the days of George Halas and Gale Sayers and it seems to matter less who’s the coach and who is the star player.
DeSantis is my guy: I’ve decided Trump’s name is already toxic. If/when DeSantis runs in ’24, he’ll have my vote because he’s just as determined to make America great again but is more diplomatic and articulate, without Trump’s huge ego.
Biden should have attended: It’s so insulting to veterans that President Biden took an overseas trip instead of paying respects to vets at the Arlington Cemetery memorial service on Veterans Day!
They don’t exist: I agree with the comment last week about the criteria for voting. A candidate should be sincere and have personal integrity, humility, courtesy, wisdom and charity. I looked at candidates for both parties running for all forms of government and couldn’t find one that even came close to that. America is a sick country right now.
Crowd noise too loud: On Bears football games, you can’t hear the announcers because the sound people have the crowd noise up too high. On all other football games, you can hear the game callers clearly. Would somebody tell the sound people to put the game callers’ volume up higher.
Affordable turkeys: I was reading about people complaining about the price of turkeys this year and saying, well, we aren’t going to be able to afford them. Why don’t you shop around? Over on Amazon Fresh, they had Butterball turkeys on sale for the last couple of weeks, 49 cents a pound. I have never seen them cheaper anywhere and even the regular stores like Jewel have turkeys for 59 or 69 cents a pound. I don’t know where these people are getting that the prices are outrageous.
