You voted for this

As we have seen, or you should have seen, this president doesn’t even know where he is at with foreign leaders. What a representation for America. But what is important for us here is to watch. We will see how a lot of the actions he has done will be modified or even revoked. We have higher costs for almost everything. This is in America. I bet this is like World War II rationing. Just remember you voted for this.

Human life devalued

Several thousand years ago, infanticide or the killing of babies, was a common practice in many cultures, including Rome. The babies were placed outside and allowed to starve. Eventually, the world saw the horror that involved, and the rights of newborns were protected. We’ve now apparently started moving back to the idea that killing babies is OK. Montana residents just voted no on a Republican-backed referendum that would have ensured medical care for babies delivered alive at any point in pregnancy, including those delivered after botched abortions. In other words, they denied a measure that would have required doctors to attempt to save the life of a living baby. Letting babies die, denying them nourishment or medical treatment, is a liberal, progressive concept. If I remember correctly, Barack Obama voted the same way, or at least refused to vote on a bill that would have guaranteed medical care for unwanted babies here in Illinois. This is where the “abortion rights” movement is taking us. Human life is being devalued.

Name game

Here is the reason we shouldn’t name schools, senior centers or parks after people. Look at Andrew Carnegie, steel magnate and philanthropist who built the Waukegan Public Library on the corner of Washington Street and Sheridan Road. He also was into eugenics, and thought “defectives” like immigrants, minorities, homosexuals and the “feebleminded” should be sterilized or killed off. Carnegie gave money to such causes. Are you sure you want to rehab that vacant building in Waukegan built by and called the Carnegie Library, evil man that he was?

Be careful what you vote for

Hope that you people that voted for the unnecessary Workers’ Rights Amendment are not surprised when you have a health emergency or your house is on fire and the first responders are on strike. Furthermore, this cannot be changed because that is what the amendment says. Did you read it before you voted for it? Next, judges are supposed to be impartial, but you elected two Madigan judges to the Supreme Court because they support abortion. Finally, you reelected the clowns that voted for the Safe-T Act. I do not want to see any Democrats crying about crime when cash bail is eliminated and the felons are put back on the streets.

Fake news

Log on to the Lake County Gazette website and you’ll quickly notice what appears to be a normal newspaper, with various departments and articles. But read the Lake County Gazette delivered by mail (but not by choice) and you’ll witness Olympic-level twists, contortions and somersaults of political information and disinformation beyond imagination, although each issue ends with a page of area football players’ college team photos (but no women’s athletics) in pretense of a Sports section. Try contacting a person to complain about the trashy “news,” and you end up at that same website — no email address or phone number for this “newspaper.” Evidently, its publishers are ashamed of passing off monumental distortions as legitimate news for readers who can’t or won’t think critically.
