DUI
Mark Olenek, 29, of the 100 block of Green Bay Road, Glencoe, was charged Nov. 6 with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving on a revoked license and an equipment violation after he was stopped on the 100 block of Green Bay Road, police said. He has a scheduled court date of Dec. 19th.
FLEEING AND ELUDING
Vasilos Trakos, 34, of the 5000 block of N. Oriole Avenue, Harwood Heights was charged Nov. 2 with a felony count of aggravated fleeing and eluding police, speeding, a stop sign violation and improper passing after he was stopped in the 600 block of Vernon Avenue, police said. He was transported to bond court and has a scheduled court date of Nov. 30.
DECEPTIVE PRACTICES
An individual reported Nov. 3 personal information was obtained leading to an unsuccessful attempt to transfer $50,000 from a bank account, police said. There was no financial loss.
An individual reported Nov. 4 there was a personal check was intercepted and altered in an attempt to cash the check, police said. The bank was contacted with the money returned and there was no financial loss.
