“The Walking Dead?”
Both Trump and Biden need to put their testosterone in check and step aside. Neither should be running for office again. Both are way too old and washed up. Both act like they’re in their prime of life, and that couldn’t be further from the truth. They are old and feeble, physically and mentally. Time for both to grab a rocking chair and call it good. I find it embarrassing as an American that these two are the best we can come up with. I refuse to vote for either, should they be our oldy-moldy choices. Good grief, this isn’t “The Walking Dead,” or is it?
Sad days we live in
The Lake County Gazette? Are you kidding me? Obviously not. What a bunch of lying scare tactics. This is a disgusting newspaper that has been sent out to everyone, whether they asked for it or not. It was created by right-wing extremist Republican groups, and wealthy contributors. If people believe this garbage in its entirety, then they’re dumber than a box of rocks. This is so out of control. Seriously sad days we live in for a political party to resort to this filth. Do yourself a favor and trash that paper before reading. Horrible desperation by the Republicans. The Republican Party may have lost my vote indefinitely.
Win-win
Maybe I’m missing something, but if the Chicago Bears move to Arlington Heights and want taxpayer funding to pay for the infrastructure, they should offer to partner with the city and share profits from the restaurants, apartments, bars, etc. that they plan to build. A win-win, which is something the Bears haven’t done in a long, long time.
Paying more for everything
Talk of the County had a response from a reader who says they are better off. Really? And you state you live near Great Lakes? Where, Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, etc.? For me, we can prove we are paying more for everything. You have to be uninformed if you’re not. Food, gas, mortgage rates, you name it. We do agree on one thing — Trump may not have been the best choice, but “rocket man,” the Russians and the Chinese were kept at bay, not to mention inflation.
And I quote …
In December 2020, ex-President Trump said, “We can’t let them know we lost.” Six words that saved our democracy were said by Republican Vice President Mike Pence: “I’m not getting in that car.”
