Is facing facts hard? Those who doubt the validity of the 2020 presidential election — are they being influenced by the mirage of baseless accusations? Why insist on accepting those types of accusations since they all fail to have any proof? Are they that easily influenced or is it the truth doesn’t fit in with their goals? Have we lost our integrity as a nation?

Simple solution: Currently there is a cap on the amount of wages taxed for those who receive Social Security benefits. That capped amount is also the max amount used in a year to compute benefits. If you eliminate the cap on the wages taxed (as is done with the Medicare tax) but keep the cap on the amount of wages used to compute benefits, the Trust Fund will be solvent forever and no reduction or changes in benefit requirements or computations will be needed.

Time to get tough: All applications for immigration/political asylum should only be handled at US. embassies/consulates, not at the border. All those illegally in the U.S must be immediately deported back to their homeland — no questions asked. Safer, simpler and less costly for everyone.

Still waiting: I have a question for Democrats. When is the Inflation Reduction Act going to start reducing inflation? I think all of us are waiting. I tried to ask Joe, but no one lets him talk.

Vote for change: After watching the news recently, it came to my mind that I was not disgusted with the turn that this country has taken, but sad. Then I thought, what has changed so much in the last six to 10 years? Was it the Democrats? Republicans? To a degree, yes. Yes because they vote as blocks and not as our singular representatives. What I have learned over the years is do not believe what a politician says during election season. Look at their actions and what they have done for us. If you are not pleased with the way things have moved forward these past years, then vote differently. Get the person out of office that has contributed to this mess.

Scary weather forecasts: Beware, those dreaded words “wind chill” and “early frost” are beginning to creep into our private conversation and once again, we’re all reminded that the scariest part of October isn’t Halloween — it’s the weather forecast.
