Trust the system: Voting is the most democratic method of tallying to select public servants and must be trusted to convey the will of the people. Those who challenge the authenticity of an election are obligated to provide proof of the misdeeds else remain silent. Baseless accusations cannot be allowed to feaster in our election process! Candidates that don’t trust the election process shouldn’t have the public’s trust.

Unwatchable game: After watching that debacle on Thursday Night Football I’m convinced the “red zone” is quickly becoming a place where Bears hopes go to die!

No more protection: So tired about folks complaining that our administration controls gas prices. We now finally see that the oil companies and OPEC control them. Saudi supports Russia on oil production and wants to cut production, affecting the world market. For years, the U.S. has had troops in Saudi, protecting them. Time is finally now to pull us out of the area. Our taxes must go to better things!

Ineffective ploy: OPEC has stated that it will reduce its oil production by about two million barrels per day at almost the same time as the Biden handlers announced it will take 10 million barrels from the strategic reserves in order to try to reduce the price of gas at the pump before Election Day. Simple arithmetic says that after about five days, that ploy will have no effect.

Don’t interrupt: I was not impressed with Republican gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey’s continuous interruptions during his debate with Pritzker. It was really hard to glean any substantive information to make an unbiased choice. Unfortunately, over the years I have seen other candidates like Bailey who don’t have anything to contribute so they disrupt the process. Chicago is my hometown and I don’t believe that Bailey can govern without being biased.

Gotta ask: In the gubernatorial debate, Republican candidate Darren Bailey tried really hard to make a big deal about his pledge not to run for higher office if he wins. As if he had a chance, anyway. He then demanded that Gov. J.B. Pritzker sign his self-generated pledge. Just wondering, did Bailey ask the same questions of George W. Bush back in 2000? Do you recall that he had two years left to serve in his term as the Republican governor of Texas when he ran for president?

Everyone’s talkin’: Everybody must love President Donald J. Trump. They just can’t stop talking about him or putting the limelight on him. Good for Trump.
