Put up or shut up: When in doubt just do it, whether it’s fourth and one at the goal line, indicting an ex-president who poses a threat to our democracy if reelected or punishing our supposed ally, Saudi Arabia, for screwing the world out of much-needed oil. The use of empty threats is not only fruitless but counterproductive as well.
OPEC dictates prices: I filled up my gas tank Oct. 4 for $4.09 a gallon. On Oct. 5, OPEC slashes oil production by 2 millions barrels a day to begin in November. Today gas is $4.59 a gallon. Here we go again. And Biden controls the high price of gas?
Too true: I totally agree with the comments about dogs and people. I actually have a shirt that says dogs make my heart smile, humans make my head hurt.
Whining and complaining: It’s clear to me that, at least when it comes to Speak Out comments, many people should heed the advice that if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all. Don’t you wonder if these repeat whiners ever get tired of complaining?
Bring back Ozzie? Ozzie Guillen is foaming at the mouth to manage again for the White Sox. He would not demand a high salary. Reinsdorf would like that. What the Sox need is a good doctor and players who can play hurt.
Stolen property: Trump stole classified top secret materials from our government, which is to say, he stole them from us. He was given a request to return everything but since he did not, a search warrant retrieved the stolen property for us. Now Trump is calling the items his and wants them returned to him. What? Does that mean any common bank robber can steal other people’s money, fail to return it and upon retrieval by officials call that money his and demand it’s returned to him? Give me a break.
Biden weakening the country: President Joe Biden, with his requirement of military personnel receiving the vaccine or get out, is weakening this country. The military is below understaffed right now. He’s kicking more people out. Why doesn’t he just let Russia and China fight over us, who’s going to control us, because that’s what’s going to happen. They’ll walk right in and take over.
