Marketing ploy?
I’m calling in regards to the Long Grove bridge, the bridge that we hear about so frequently. I have come to understand that bridge’s issues are because it’s a guise to increase people’s interest in Long Grove. All of these people that claim that a bar assembled in front of the bridge at the same height of the entrance to the bridge would be somehow offensive to the exact nature of the area. It’s funny how less than 50 yards east of the bridge, there is modern traffic lights at a four-way intersection. Oh, hanging from the same type of bar that could be constructed in front of the bridge that would stop trucks from hitting it. But if trucks stopped hitting the bridge, then nobody would ever hear about Long Grove. Pretty smart marketing for your little town: Come and see our bridge, and spend your money in our bars, restaurants and shops.
Damn proud
Voting-by-mail fraud starting already. I live in Gurnee. Couple of days ago, my granddaughter, who hasn’t lived here in 17 years, received a voting-by -ail ballot at my address. She even told me she hasn’t voted in over 12 years. After 12 years wouldn’t you have to re-register again? And how did they pick up this address to send her a vote-by-mail and she never requested one? It just kind of tells me, better watch it. You pollsters better get in there and watch these people counting these ballots. And yes, I’m a Republican and proud of it. I’m a Trump voter. We’re damn proud of how good the country was under Trump.
Morons of the County?
Bone Spur author: I was hoping you moved away to Florida and was swept away by the hurricane. But my dream was short-lived. I know it’s me, but at the same time, you’re one of the meanest people I’ve ever read. And you’re right, the name of Talk of the County should maybe be changed to Morons of the County.
What’s going on?
American military defense is in the toilet. You don’t think Russia and China are keeping an eye and checking on the United States military? Don’t be fooled, people. We are in the toilet. You have more and more unqualified kids joining our military for the wrong reasons, and then the 25% or 20% that you have in the military that have made it their career, you tell them what they can say and not say. That’s wrong. We need a strong military that’s going to protect the United States when the time comes. It’s not going to be Russia, and it won’t be China. You think it’s going to be Germany? I don’t think so. They have outdated equipment that hasn’t been updated in years. So, what’s going on with our military, people?
Move over
This is for all you people that drive in the left lane on the expressways. That lane is for faster-moving traffic, passing vehicles and off-road vehicles. If you want to drive slow, drive in the far-right lane. That goes for you semi-drivers, too. I wish the police would start giving semi-drivers tickets for being in the left lane, and the slow-moving traffic also.

Here are some reasons for voting Democratic. If you believe criminals should be released from prison, vote Democratic. If you believe in higher taxes and higher gas prices, vote Democratic. If you don’t believe in the Constitution, vote Democratic. If you believe in defunding the police, vote Democratic. If you don’t mind losing your religious freedom, vote Democratic. If you believe in cutting our domestic fuel supply, vote Democratic, I used to vote Democratic, but now I vote Republican for the above reasons.
Hammer home
I am a female Republican. I don’t like abortion, but I understand Republicans are making a big mistake in saying they’ll abolish abortion. If they get into office, what you need to say is you are personally against it, but would not vote to make it illegal. That’s it. All you have to do is stress the economy, high gas prices, high food prices, high interest rates and the disaster of green energy. Push inflation, tax increases. That’s how to keep it real. Democrats are obsessed with CRT, BLM, transgenders, Ukraine and allowing a lot of illegals to flow into our country. That’s all the Republicans need to hammer home and you’ll win.

I read in the paper that Kim Kardashian has to settle with the SEC. If that was a normal person, like me or a common person out in public, we’d be in jail. That’s exactly where she ought to be. I’m sorry. I don’t care about her family and that they’re a joke. Anyway, put her in jail.
