Students and staff at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Naperville were evacuated to the North Central College campus Thursday morning after a threat was phoned in to the school office.
Naperville police canine units searched the buildings at 201 E. Franklin Ave. about 9:30 a.m. before students were allowed to return to class.
Naperville police Cmdr. Michaus Williams said an investigation into the threat is underway.
In a message sent to families, school officials said they contacted police immediately after receiving the call and were advised to evacuate the buildings.
Students were escorted by staff members to Pfeiffer Hall on the North Central College campus, which is several blocks east of the school, officials said.
