Setting record straight: This is in reference to the comment about student debt loans in Speak Out. The author said that it would raise our taxes. It will not raise our taxes as that money was already spent and the federal government holds that debt. In other words, the government has allocated the money for the student loans from its budget and then it loans it out to those in need. They also claimed it was political but Biden ran on a platform of forgiving student debt. He is keeping his campaign promise. I think they’d be hard pressed to find a politician who isn’t playing politics.

Waiting for Trump portrait: Watching Barack and Michelle Obama graciously present their White House portraits this week, I couldn’t help thinking that Donald Trump’s portrait will probably include a throne and a shiny gold crown.

Not ready for electric cars: We are not ready yet for the world the Democrats are pushing us toward. Our country does not have the infrastructure nor the energy policy to handle electric cars yet. The very idea that many have bought the cars and are not permitted to always charge them in California should be a wakeup call for everyone to wait until we have the means to maintain them without hardships nationwide.

Bring on fall: The days are growing shorter and unless I’m mistaken, there’s a slight chill in the air. It seems quite likely we will soon be swapping heat index readings for wind chill numbers and frankly, that’s OK by me.

Doling out freebies: President Biden decided to use taxpayer money to pay off student loans in an election year. Funny, I thought Congress handled the taxpayers purse strings. Not just doling out money to get votes for the Democratic Party. I can’t wait to see what happens in two years. What kind of freebies is he going to be handing out using taxpayer funds? I believe Joe’s time is about over.

Just call ’em DRAB: I love and have lived in Chicago all my long life. If columnist Ted Slowik loved Chicago and weren’t a Democratic lemming, he’d have to admit that Darren Bailey’s “Hellhole” assessment of Chicago is fact. We can all see the problem but Democrats can only gloss over reality. They Deny facts, Reject reality, Avert accusations, Blame something or someone else and Scare people into believing/voting for them. They’re the “DRABS” Party.
