Are we or aren’t we in a recession? It depends on who you had asked about. The Republicans are out front stating yes, we are in a recession — as if this will be the best thing to happen to them since sliced bread. Because of the upcoming election the Democrats state we are not in a recession as of yet. All you have to do is ask the average Joes who have been paying bills and buying groceries. Now the good news: Gas is going down, food prices are slowly decreasing. So make sure the chickens are coming home to roost.

We need better, more efficient IRS agents. How do you know Biden’s new tax bill is phony? Lastly, we need more people choosing a positive attitude. Good grief, Leo from Oak Lawn!

To Marni, Monee: I am in my 70s and believe you are almost right, Carlson, Ingraham and Hannity don’t have as much class as Tokyo Rose had even for the subject of her broadcasts on a bad day. Also, you are right: Our country is in bad shape largely due to insurrection inciting and secessionist propaganda TV channels like Fox News, which is why many credible broadcasters left them. And, don’t forget Trump rioters and abolitionists, Proud Boy and rebellious white supremacists, and lack of respect for law enforcement and authority.

To Leo from Oak Lawn: who thinks we live in a Banana Republic because Trump’s home was searched illegally with the search warrant approved by a judge. Here’s what a Banana Republican is like: A president who refuses to turn over power, who insists that he is still president regardless of all evidence to the contrary and refuses to turn over a legal and lawful election and squirrels away. Boxes and boxes of highly classified documents just because he thinks they belong to him and not the government now. That’s what I call a Banana Republic.
