Evanston police and the FBI on Friday continued to look for a man armed with a knife who robbed a Jewel-Osco Huntington Bank branch on Wednesday and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
On Aug. 3, at approximately 5:45 p.m. Evanston police responded to the Jewel-Osco Huntington Bank branch in the 2400 block of Howard Street for a bank robbery, police said in a release Friday.
They said the offender brandished a knife and demanded cash from the teller then fled the scene. There were no reported injuries in this incident and the amount of money taken was not disclosed.

The offender is described as a 35- to 50- year-old male, 5’5? to 5’9? tall, weighing 200 to 240 pounds, with short blond hair and possibly reddish blond facial hair. He was wearing a black baseball hat with a Red Bull logo, black sunglasses, black sweatshirt with the white outline of a leaping cat, blue pants, blue surgical mask, and gray gloves, according to the release.
