I am very disappointed in Steph Curry, who has been my hero. He was the host of the Espy Awards. He had a drink in his hand in the opening segment. What does that teach all the kids that want to be like Steph Curry? It shows them drinking is cool even on TV and you have to have that drink in your hand at all times. And the girls on the Espy Awards wore very revealing dresses. Another bad example for our teams who want to be just like TV stars and sports greatest of all times.

To Joan of Oak Forest, nice to know you are OK with an innocent person getting the death penalty.
Mark, Orland Park
Joan from Oak Forest wrote there are some innocent people in jail. I once read as many as one in five in jail can be innocent for several reasons such as legal and prejudicial. The poor cannot afford as good legal representation. The prosecutor is a better at his/her profession. The accused is convinced it is better to plead guilty for a lighter sentence. A confession was coerced. The prejudice of the jury comes into play with personal appearances. Which lawyer is better looking? Is the accused ugly? And witnesses lie intentionally or are just mistaken.

You know America is in an evil and sad place when Republicans and conservatives are called radical extremists when they want to support life of an unborn baby. Then on the Democrat side, they support the killing of unborn babies. Sick people.

It is always gratifying to see a response to your Speak Out by someone with an opposing view. It means that you have struck a cord with somebody who believes that there is no fraud in our elections, no corruption in our government, our borders are closed and all problems are caused by the deplorables.

Has anyone thought it odd that the women speaking in the TV ads about women’s reproductive rights, health care, pro abortion, supporting J B Pritzker are all beyond child bearing years? Abortion is not health care and reproduction is not abortion.
