Hey President Joe Biden, probably would have been better if that fist bump would have been run across his jaw. Knock ’em out. Show me you got the nerve, that you’re the man not him. But you’re weak. Go back to sleep.

Jimbo, Chicago Heights

The criticism of the president for doing a fist bump with the Saudi prince is ridiculous. What was he supposed to do? Put his hands in his pockets and insult the head of state?

Pat, Lemont

On the Fourth of July, our garbage disposal broke and my husband called six or seven of the white pages plumbers. Nobody called us back. He called Four Seasons, spoke to a person and they came the next day. Today is the 16th and none of the other people that we called ever called us back.

Betty, Crestwood

The Republican Party was buried with American hero John McCain. It has been replaced by a fascist cult.

Greg, Lockport

Jim in Mokena must be psychic but forgetful to know that all shooters are Democratic, forgetting the Republican shooter in Uvalde and Proud Boy shooters who stormed the Capitol trying to overthrow the government with automatic rifles and pistols. Are you actually referring to a political party with your statement, or rather race and ethnicity but are afraid to say what you really mean regarding shooters?

Carl, Orland Park

To readers of Ted Slowik. Glyphosate has been restricted around the world and in some states and restricted in some Illinois communities like Chicago, Naperville, Urbana and Franklin Park. Read up on the warnings to DNA damage and it’s potential link to cancer before committing to use it. There is also real concern about its danger to beneficial insects such as bees.

Dolly, Homer

Linda from Orland Park and all others so concerned about a woman’s reproductive decisions and think that abortion is murder. I have a question for you, which is how do you feel about banning all assault weapons so that we don’t have actual murders of already living people in this world, in our country? Something tells me I already know the answer that question.
