What should happen next? For all those Americans who have knowledge of or have been watching the Congressional House hearings, do you think that the witness testimonies are factual? Since most are Republican witnesses and not Democrats does this add to their credibility? Should there be a criminal investigation by the Justice Department as to what has been revealed? If we can’t agree, this puts America at another crossroad that could further divide us!
Proof positive: A recent study of 100 people from the Chicago area had 50 volunteers attend a Cubs game in Wrigley Field on a beautiful weekday afternoon. The other 50 were forced to stay home and repeatedly hit themselves over the head with a wooden bat. In the end, all 100 reported the same moderate to severe migraines. When asked what this could possibly mean, the sociologist simply shrugged his shoulders and said what we’ve all been thinking for the past year, the Cubs suck!
Time to say goodbye: MLB stands for Major League Baseball, played by major league players and managed by major league managers. However, when it pertains to Chicago White Sox and their manager, Tony La Russa, it’s minor league all the way. To say the least, the game has passed him by. It’s time for La Russa to say goodbye to the White Sox and hello to the next happy hour.
Nothing but a sham: The Jan. 6 hearings are nothing more than a one-sided TV show attempting to thwart any possible Trump run in 2024. Any true hearing would be bipartisan and allow witnesses to be cross examined. The short clips used are highly edited and out of context, creating a sham show.
No one’s taking your guns: The government is not taking our guns away! That is just a Republican talking point that our congressmen use to get people riled up on guns. Smart gun control is not taking guns away.
Possible check protection: I feel bad for the people who had checks altered. My checks through U.S. Bank have seven security features plus I sign them with a special non-washable ink pen. These measures may not be infallible, but they may cause a thief to skip them for a simpler, less secure check.
Confused thinking: It was reported that a Republican senator from Wisconsin said he wasn’t too concerned about the incursion on Jan. 6 because the people who were involved love their country. If the riot was caused by Black Lives Matter, that would have been cause for reaction. My respond is this is how screwed up some in American have become after the few years of Trump.
