Sixteen artist-decorated pickup truck sculptures are now on display in downtown Naperville.
This year’s theme is “Cruising Into Summer,” and a launch event for the exhibit will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 18, at Jackson Avenue and Webster Street by the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
The organization will be handing out maps for the sculpture locations and plastic construction hard hats, while supplies last. Visitors can spin a wheel for a chance to win prizes and sign up for a drawing to win one of two children’s sand diggers.

The event is being held in conjunction with the downtown alliance’s annual Classic Car Show, scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon on Jackson Avenue, between Eagle and Main Street. About 100 cars will be on display.
Every summer, the alliance does a program in which small sculptures — all with the same theme — are painted by artists and displayed throughout the downtown Naperville area as a means of bringing people to the area.
In the past, the sculptures have included things like storybook benches, sailboats, hearts, dogs and gingerbread men.
The artwork will remain on display through Labor Day. A map for the locations can be found at downtownnaperville.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/05_19_22_truck_sculpture_map_final_outlines.pdf.
Sculptures are on display in front of the business that sponsored them and are not for sale.
