If you don’t die, you win: According to environmentalists, the world is grossly overpopulated with people who cause pollution in amounts that cause global warming, which will kill millions of people thereby reducing the amount of pollution they emit and ending global warming. Global warming is self-correcting! Doing nothing will: lower the population, reduce pollution and end global warming. It’s a win-win-win and it won’t cost a dime!
Blames parents, not pandemic: Thank you, Donna Vickroy and J.R. Willard-Rose, for the column regarding talking to your kids. As a former substitute teacher, students have been behaving badly before COVID-19. Can we please stop blaming the pandemic? Parents buy their children all the new phones, laptops, any and everything. It is time for parents to step away from their own phones, TVs, extracurricular activities and spend time with your children. Bad behavior is an attention-seeking mechanism.
Memory like an elephant? How ironic that the symbol of the Republican party is an elephant considering the most popular expression of so many of its members these days is “I don’t recall.”
Buying votes: Jen Psaki said the the liberal left is going to try to introduce a bill to help pay student loans up to $10,000 or more by Aug. 31. Who is going to reimburse me for all the college tuition I paid? This is the same thing as standing out in front of a polling place and giving everybody a $20 bill and saying vote for Democrats. They’re using taxpayer money to get the 20 to 30 somethings to vote for them by saying we’re going to pay all your debt.
Punishing Dems: Just saw a news story about how Florida taking away the Disney company’s special status will adversely affect Orange County. A quick Google search shows Orange County generally votes Democratic. Gee. Shocked.
Scientists, please help: I want to say what a great country we live in. We put a man on the moon, satellites into outer space and we cure diseases. But the only thing that no one has come up with yet is low-calorie, no-fat pizza or potato chips. I hope the food scientists are still at it trying to find this. My 350 pounds is depending upon it.
