Antioch Missionary Baptist Church parishioners gather to celebrate Easter just two days after the Englewood church caught fire

Parishioners worship during Easter services on April 17, 2022, at Calahan Funeral Home in Englewood, a temporary home for Antioch Missionary Baptist Church two days after their historic building burned in a fire.

The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church was accidentally set ablaze on Friday afternoon when workers used a propane torch, causing the worship space roof to be caved in. Though no injuries were reported, the significant damages caused worshippers to relocate for church services.
