Voting for “none”: It’s always frustrating as a voter to find there are no good candidates on the ballot. I suggest a change to all future ballots: In addition to the candidates for each office for various parties — Democrat, Republican, Green, Independent etc. — there should be a choice of “None of the above.” That way we would not be forced to vote for the “lesser of the evils.” If “None of the above” gets the most votes, there would then be a secondary election with new candidates for that office. Maybe then we could get some decent candidates for whom we could vote.

Here’s how it works: Jobs are created in response to the market demand by seeking employees and lost just as easy through a reduction in the market. The employer then determines the wages and reaps the profits. Much like welfare, the government will often favor the employer with legislation highly influenced because of large political donations!

Good luck, Bennifer! In this topsy-turvy world where nothing can be taken for granted, there is now word that the Ben Afleck/Jennifer Lopez reunion has turned into an engagement celebration. Here’s hoping those crazy kids can make a go of it this time around!

Reasonable support: I’m sure most of us would be willing to back Ukraine with any supplies and arms needed through NATO countries without direct boots on the ground involvement. We want the fighting over. Comments that would have Ukraine bomb Putin’s home, buildings and capitol are from people either not thinking clearly or wanting to start World War III.

Which is more important? Climate change versus the ballooning federal debt. Which one will have a devastating impact on the United States first? There is a lot of talk and plans about addressing climate change. There is no talk or plan on addressing the federal debt.

Important lesson: Seeing several truck driving schools operating in the area, I have to ask are any of these students being taught to drive in the right lane?

Sox need starter: The Chicago White Sox are left with a starting pitcher dilemma. Unless they make a trade for a top starter, they’re doomed. They have some young talent who might be able to get a starter, but they are gun shy. You have to give something to get something.
