Emotional ESO concert: We had the pleasure of attending another fine concert by the Elgin Symphony on Sunday. To me the highlight occurred when the orchestra, led by a guest conductor from South America, opened the program with a stirring rendition of the Ukrainian national anthem. It was a beautiful moment. Thanks to the men and women of the orchestra for making the effort to learn this piece, and for the great music you always bring us.
Fictitious claims: Trump again repeated the claim that he won Michigan’s “Man of the Year” award. The award does not exist, but another lie is not unusual for his followers to accept as being the gospel. He is also guilty of orchestrating the Jan. 6 coup by having his followers reacting to the lies he created! Are they half blind not to see a pattern of being manipulated by his lies?
