Glenview police on Friday were continuing to investigate a Thursday night shooting that sent a man to hospital with non life threatening wounds, authorities said.
Police on Friday did not give a motive for the shooting. “We’re just investigating it as a shooting incident right now,” sergeant Joel Detloff said Friday.
He said police received a 911 call about a shooting at the Motel 6 in the 1500 block of Milwaukee Avenue shortly before 10 p.m. Thursday and that responding officers found a 39-year-old man who had been shot during an argument with someone he knew. The suspect fled before police arrived.
The victim was taken to Glenbrook Hospital and later released with non life threatening injuries, authorities said. They said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there is not a threat to the larger community.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Glenview police at 847-729-5000 on the Glenview police tip line at 847-901-6055. Police said further updated will be provided when available.
