Frankfort Park District honors community members
The Frankfort Park District Board of Commissioners honored members of the community earlier this month with Community Service Awards for their work with athletic organizations as well as their dedication to the players, their families and the Frankfort community.
Honorees included Greg Ristich, Dale Kalman and Scott Kohler from the Falcons organization; Todd Knollenberg and Mike McCarey from Falcons/Frankfort Baseball; Rob Joyce, Carrie Kramer, John Glennon, Mark Fordon and Mike Bouck from Frankfort Baseball; Vince Adamo from Frankfort Baseball/Falcons/Softball; and Elmer Gentry, Chris Herder, Kim Herder, Marty Gilboy, Tracey Signore, Jeffrey Kemerer, Ryan Petrow, Carrie Bacha and Jim McFarland from Frankfort Girls Softball.
“Without the service and dedication that the Volunteer Board members provide there would be great void in our community,” Commissioner Tom Barz said. “Countless families have benefited from the volunteer hours each of you have given. Too many to count; meetings, emails, phone calls, nights and weekends at the fields. It is your dedication that makes the youth athletic programs possible. The families and players may never know your individual efforts, but the Frankfort Park District Commissioners and staff recognize your efforts and the dedication you have given.”
