Ignore rules, pay consequences: I don’t have much sympathy for Brittney Griner, the basketball player detained in Russia for carrying cannabis oil in her luggage. To me, she is an example of arrogance and ignorance. Many like her travel abroad and show no interest in researching or respecting the laws of the countries they are visiting. People just automatically assume what is legal here is legal elsewhere. Then when they get in trouble, they want to be bailed out in a jiffy because they feel that the laws and rules don’t apply to them.
Try public transit: With the price of gas on the rise and many companies asking employees to return to the office, now may be a good time for consumers to think about using public transportation again.

Go on the offense: If Putin can bomb homes and government buildings, why can’t Ukraine bomb Putin’s homes, his businesses and other Russian buildings? Russia then would have to defend on their own ground, and they have to realize what’s good for one is good for the other.
What about me: I see the Biden administration is offering student loan debt forgiveness for 100,000 borrowers. Gee, I got the GI Bill after I spent four years in the Navy. Can I get my four years back?
I read an article saying a study showed racial groups were undercounted in the 2020 U.S. Census, Blacks by 2%, Hispanics by 1.5%, but whites were over counted. I wonder why we bother with the work and expense of a Census if a simple study can tell us the proper counts.
Putin’s an idiot: What a short memory all you Trumpsters have. When Trump left office there was 12% unemployment, a pandemic with no end in sight and rioting in the streets. Now Trump and his followers believe Putin is so smart. He invades a country and now realizes he will have to destroy it along with keeping a military presence there or he pulls out and looks weak, thus looking like an idiot to the world. Looking like an idiot to the world has never bothered Trump.
