Investigators on Tuesday were continuing to investigate a two vehicle collision in Glenview earlier in the day that left a woman in serious condition, officials said.
The Glenview Fire Department and the North Maine Fire Protection District responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a passenger vehicle and a box truck at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the intersection of Central and East River Roads, the Glenview Fire Department said in a release.
It said the female driver of the passenger vehicle had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge in serious condition. Her passenger was also taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital for observation with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver and passenger of the box truck were released at the scene. The accident is under investigation by the Cook County Sherriff’s Police Department, said the release.
