Francis Almeda was set to open his coffee shop in February 2020, until the pandemic waylaid his plans. When he did open in July 2020, he began bringing in products and foods made by small businesses, startups and other food-related entrepreneurs. As word spread, Side Practice Coffee became known as a place where creators could gain some traction.
