It’s that simple

This is in response to “Conservatives rejoice,” the person who said that President Trump can have Vice President Kyle Rittenhouse with his AR in hand. I think that’s a fine idea, because that would keep the people from burning the town down. So, we’ve got Trump and the AR-15 with Kyle Rittenhouse, and keep the others controlled. It’s that simple.

If not, why not?

After the tragic shooting at the Michigan high school, it’s time for Lake County schools to implement ALICE training. What is ALICE training? A is for alert. Be notified of danger. L is location. Barricade the room. I is inform. Communicate intruder’s location. C is counter. Create distractions, noise, movement. E is evacuate. Learn the techniques to get people out of harm’s way. The Michigan high school staff and students had this very important training, and knew what to do. How many Lake County schools have this training? And, if not, why not?

Start saving your money

All Warren High School District 121 residents: Save your money, because Warren is asking for a massive tax hike in April of 2022. This raise in taxes will cost the average homeowner in Warren Township approximately $500 to $600 a year. For all businesses, it will cost much more — $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 a year if this referendum passes. So start saving your money now for this massive tax hike by District 121.

Happy and proud?

I just read the article, “Taliban exacts revenge on Afghans.” It was about the former security forces in Afghanistan that have been murdered by the Taliban since the Americans pulled out. I’m sure there are many more we’ll never hear about — not only the men, but their families. The Biden administration must be very happy and proud.

We are in charge

This Jonah Goldberg, he’s always in the paper complaining and whining about the Democrats and how they do things. All I have to say to Mr. Goldberg is exactly what his pal, Mitch McConnell said. McConnell said, “If the Democrats were in charge, they’d be doing it.” Well, we are in charge and we are doing it.

I want a refund

Here we go again. The report of student progress in the Waukegan schools. Post-pandemic, 12%. Pre-pandemic, 24% met or exceeded the standards in English. Seven percent post-epidemic, 14% pre-epidemic met or exceeded the standards in math. Large amounts of my taxpayer dollars go to pay schools — $2,000 a year. If I purchase something that doesn’t work, I return it for a refund. Waukegan schools are not working. They want even more money. However, I would like to return my product and receive a refund from them in the amount of $2,000 for the last several years.
