Put yourself in his shoes
For you folks who think Rittenhouse is not a victim, put yourself in his shoes. If you were on the ground with a gun and someone hit you more than once with a skateboard, you would shoot them in self-defense. If you were on the ground and someone came up to you with a gun, and you heard them make threatening statements, you would shoot them also. Put yourself in those positions and think how you would react. If you saw this in a movie, you would applaud the person on the ground.
Our loved ones are in danger
I’m guessing that none of the Lake County Board members has had his or her house riddled by gunfire, or their spouse nearly killed by one of these randomly sprayed bullets. The speeding car sprays the neighborhood, and is gone before residents feel safe enough to look outside and see who’s doing the shooting. Two months ago, one of those bullets missed my wife by inches. Then, the young mother of two was fatally injured in a similar incident. Two houses away from ours, bullets flew through the living room where a mother and two small children were watching television. One of those license plate readers may well have allowed the police to see who was on the street at that moment in time, and may have helped get these criminals off the streets. My Ring camera failed to activate during the shooting, and even if it had it would not have had a decent image of a car doing 50 or 60 mph as it sped down the street in the dark of night sending bullets in all directions. Come on board members, we need these license plate readers now, not next year. Our neighborhoods are unsafe, and our loved ones are in danger. As you relax in your nice homes in some quiet subdivision, do the right thing and get those license plate readers installed.
Acting like babies
Senate Republicans threatening shutdown over shot mandates reminded me of my baby nephew. My sister-in-law was trying to change his diaper in the back seat of our car, when she started yelling hysterically, “He’s holding his breath.” Glancing over my front seat, I see the baby’s turning blue. He does this all the time she says. Apparently he wants to wallow in his own mess.
What is the point of having states?
I don’t understand the whole outrage over the Supreme Court, and the possibility of overturning Roe v Wade. Why is it my lefty liberal friends think that a Supreme Court decision is set in stone, yet our Constitution is somehow “living and breathing,” and subject to rules and regulations and change? If the Supreme Court had its way, segregation would still be legal with the decision of Plessy vs. Ferguson. Times change. Abortion should be left up to the states. If Illinois wants drive-thru abortions up to and including three weeks after birth, more power to Illinois. If Mississippi wants to limit abortions to 15 weeks or less, more power to Mississippi. What is the point of even having states if everything that comes out of Washington is law? Get rid of Illinois. Get rid of Texas. Get rid of Wyoming. We will all fall under the rules of some monolith court and politicians that reside in Washington.
They should be first in line
I see there is an outbreak of COVID in the Lake County jail. So, I got to wondering. Are inmates forced to get vaccinated? Everyone else has to get a vaccine. I wonder if our friends in the prison system are exempt from the COVID mandates like all the other laws they thumb their nose at. Seems to me like they should be first in line to get them. Just my humble opinion.
Making Big Pharma richer

The newest “scarient” has arrived in the USA. They are calling it omicron, which rhymes with moron. Since the shots don’t protect the inoculated from getting the virus or transmitting it, the current COVID “vaccines” provide no public health benefit whatsoever. That being recognized means there is no valid rationale for mandating “vaccination.” Boosters don’t help waning protection. There is no protection to begin with. It’s all just to make Big Pharma richer.
Don’t blame the coaches
To the person referring to the Bears having lousy players: I don’t know a lot about football or watch it consistently, but I do enjoy it when I do. Surprisingly, my husband isn’t a sports fan and hogs the TV. Anyway, I absolutely agree with you. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out where the failure is. It isn’t the coach who goes out there and makes the play. He just coaches the players to make the play. If the talent isn’t there with the players, the play fails. Good example are the Cubs. They finally got some good young ambitious players in there, and they started winning.
Counseling for fear and anxiety
If some people refuse the vaccine, what is it to you? If the shot that you took was truly a vaccination against the virus, you are protected, right? If not, maybe you are the one who needs counseling for fear and anxiety.
