So disgusting

I laugh at this guy, “Stand up for truth,” in the “Talk of the County.” What a joke. The truth is the kid was an idiot, should have never been there and the police should have arrested him or shot him. He’s a kid. That’s what people aren’t understanding. He was a minor who should have never been there. Where the heck are his parents? They’re idiots. They should be in jail, too. But the fact is, he killed two people. All the excuses that he could do and his fake crying on TV, that was a disgrace. That judge must have been part of the coalition he belongs to. This whole thing was the biggest joke I’ve ever seen, and the fact that he got off without anything, that’s a crock. Our judicial system stinks. I wonder if those jurors were threatened or paid to do it, because I can’t believe that they’d let him off without anything. I am just so disappointed in this system. It’s just so disgusting.

What do words mean?

I look up American words to make sure they mean what I’m sure they mean. The date on food products usually states, “best if used by.” If the milk is left out overnight, would you still drink it? “Lasts a lifetime” doesn’t mean your life. Pets last a lifetime too, but not your lifetime. My sister snarls at me to eat her moldy bread, snarling it’s penicillin. I noticed she doesn’t eat it. So, I do the meal prep when I visit her. Not worth arguing with some people, even when they’re not expired.

Their only tools

The comment was only one sentence long: “Welcome to the Biden depression.” It was the most ignorant thing ever printed in “Talk of the County,” and that’s saying a lot. There’s not one economic indicator that suggest the economy is in a depression. The stock market is up, and interest rates are down. Record number of job openings, record low unemployment claims during the pandemic and a strong housing market. Christmas spending may be record-breaking as well. Are there downsides? Of course. Inflation is up, the exact opposite of a depression, and gas prices have risen somewhat. We have had higher gas prices during both the Bush and Obama presidencies. But the obstructionist and hysterical right wants you to believe that $3.40 national average is a sign of armageddon. Fear and misinformation, these are their only tools.

Supporting a liar

To the doofus who likes Aaron Rodgers: The man is liar. You are supporting a liar. That is not American, and that is not freedom. That is also not communist. You, my friend, are supporting a liar. You probably supported the liar, Bone Spur, I would bet.

Shouldn’t be in your paper

I agree with the grandma that was talking about Jerry Davich’s column on Kyle Rittenhouse. I haven’t read him since his disgusting column about Rush Limbaugh that was just so evil. I will never read anything written by that man again. And, that’s all I have to say. He shouldn’t be in your paper.

Shed no tears

This call is in response to the woman who wrote the entry “Nasty column.” I would just like her to know that if she watches all the testimony from beginning to end, Kyle Rittenhouse never shed one tear. He emoted dramatically, and I believe for the pain that he felt for himself and not those that were victims of his evening in Kenosha. Once again, I would love to see anyone show me a picture of Kyle Rittenhouse displaying one wet tear.

Those who oppress the many

In response to the individual whose entry was titled “They don’t speak for me”: I believe the answer to your question is to vote for people who support unions, where the workers who provide the labor that makes individuals richer than anyone else could be supported and could be enriched in a similar manner as those who oppress the many.
