Chain of command
It looks like Chris Christie is running for president. He’s an opportunist, and when people are opportunists, you can’t trust them. That’s all I’m saying. He’s untrustworthy, because a man that uses politics and people to crawl above everyone else is an opportunist. This also goes along with Fauci, another opportunist who did not bother to speak to the president, at the time Mr. Trump. He just felt it was his duty not to follow protocol. Chain of command, people. Chain of command. This is something that Fauci, when he gave an interview to Ted Koppel, lacked. This is a man that is an opportunist and saw every chance to try to be the hero, so he decided not to follow the chain of command. That tells me a lot about this person.
Public service announcement
This is a public service announcement to all Trump voters. The Republican reconciliation committee has announced the upcoming Thanksgiving Day holiday will also be a day of national forgiveness. All Trump voters are encouraged to write a request for forgiveness to be read prior to the traditional Thanksgiving prayer. You may say you were sorry you rejected reason in the name of will, and denied objective truth in favor of a glorious myth articulated by the former president who falsely claimed to give voice to the people. Once read out loud, you will feel better. Your family will forgive you. They will allow you to return to the adult table. The only consequence of not requesting forgiveness is you will not receive dessert. Remember, no request for forgiveness, no pumpkin pie.
Elitist and racist
A contributor implied that the internet was all that was needed to see the Waukegan city calendar. Since Waukegan has a poverty rate of 17.8%, that statement is obviously both elitist and racist. And no, not everyone can get to the library computers. There is a real suspicion that the public relations staff is purposely restricting access to the city calendar by solely using social media. After all, too many of “those people” might read the News-Sun and find out what’s actually going on. A more charitable view might be to assume the public relations staff is simply full of themselves and clueless as to the needs of the real Waukegan.

While Jessie Jackson is sitting in court, he has his mask on his chin, not covering his mouth or nose. Special people have special privileges don’t they?
Failure is unacceptable
Ann Taylor has a once-every-50-years mayoral term defining opportunity to obtain Waukegan’s share of the $17 billion in infrastructure funds allocated to Illinois. As the ninth-largest city in the state, Waukegan should get at minimum the ninth-largest allocation of these funds. That’s the argument the mayor of the second-largest city of Aurora made advocating for his city, and he’s right. He said he will be pulling out all stops and working his connections at the local, state and federal levels to make this happen. Taylor needs to do the same. If she does not deliver these funds, she needs to be held accountable. Waukegan residents need to track her performance on this issue. There are many politically savvy, well-connected competitors out there. She needs to up her game and deliver. Failure is unacceptable. The voters will remember.

Rude robocalls
Already this morning, I have had three darn robocalls, and each one of them had a rude person on the other end of the phone. Everyone has a job, and I guess I don’t blame them for attempting to earn a living. However, when you politely tell the person to please take your name off the call list, and they immediately hang up on you, how can you respect any of the robo callers because that’s what I expect. Now the question is, how do we stop robocalls from happening at all?

He lied
Think about this: The Build Back Better gargantuan, $1.5 trillion bill is going to be added to by another $1.7 trillion, which is probably going to be 3.5 trillion by the time they get done. And, Biden and his administration are telling you that it’s not going to cost anything. It’s already paid for. Yeah, tell that to your credit card person when you have to file for bankruptcy. Joe Biden said he would bring America together. He would be a uniter, not a divider. Wrong. He said that he would not leave Americans in Afghanistan. Wrong. He said he would not mandate face masks. Wrong. He said he would not mandate vaccines. Wrong. Just the wrong actually means he lied. He lied because he doesn’t know what he’s going to do because he doesn’t know what they’re telling him to do.
