Skokie police are continuing to seek leads after a Chicago man was shot in the shoulder Nov. 11.
Skokie police responded to a call of shots fired in the 4500 block of Oakton Street around 9:35 p.m. Nov. 11 and found a 37-year-old man who had been shot in his left shoulder, according to a news release.
The shooter and anyone else involved was already gone by the time police arrived. An initial investigation by police indicates that an altercation occurred on the west side of a building at 4558 Oakton Street that culminated in shots being fired, police said.
The man who was shot was sitting inside a vehicle parked in the area and was not involved in the altercation, police said.
The man’s injury was not life threatening and he was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
The investigation is active and ongoing and there were no arrests announced as of press time Tuesday afternoon.
