Shame on you

Always been a fan of the Green Bay quarterback, but not anymore since he was caught lying about being vaccinated. Shame on you, Rodgers. What a poor example for our children.

Other people’s money

Wow. I wonder how long it’s going to take for other people’s money to run out. Like Margaret Thatcher said, socialism works really well until you run out of other people’s money. Electric buses are coming to Waukegan. This was in the News-Sun. A hundred million dollars of taxpayer money is going to be funding that. The only people riding those buses can’t afford a car or can’t get a driver’s license for medical or drunken driving offenses, with Democrat prosecutors letting every criminal back on the street. Buses are a prime target for theft and abuse. Until Democrats punish criminals for their crimes, nobody with the wherewithal to buy a clunker and keep it running will ride your quiet, supposedly environmentally friendly, unsafe to the public buses. Hire a well-armed police officer to ride every bus every hour, and ridership might increase.

Blame the governor

A recent submission to Talk of the County faulted Sheriff John Idleburg for failing to send deputies to Kenosha during last summer’s unrest. The factual truth is that Lake County sheriffs deputies were preparing to go to Kenosha until the governor of Wisconsin refused to indemnify our deputies, which would put our deputies at great risk of being sued, at the bare minimum. Blame the Wisconsin governor for this, as well as failing to activate the Wisconsin National Guard in a timely manner. It appears that the governor wanted to punish the police, rather than assist them in keeping order. Get the facts.

Mountain of lard

Jelly Belly Pritzker declared gun violence in Illinois a public health crisis, and pledged a $250 million dollar investment. Yet Pritzker is building a military museum in Somers, Wisconsin, which will also sell handguns and ammo to the public. How did educated people vote for this mountain of lard?

The message is clear

Warren Township School District 121 is requesting more funding from the county. The voters have turned down several past referendums because they believe more tax-derived funding is not essential to the efficient operation of the district. The message is clear. The district must live within its means like the rest of us. If it cannot, then significant savings can be derived by eliminating present administrators and hiring replacements who have the skills needed to run the district with what it has been financially allocated.

Tired of all the excuses

Dr. Phil had a guy on the other day named Sebastian who called himself the “cart narc.” He went to parking lots and shamed people who weren’t putting their shopping carts back, and shamed those using the handicap area when they obviously have no medical issues. Of course, the audience backed Dr. Phil’s disgust in Sebastian. I back Sebastian. I’m tired of those entitled, lazy people, too. They should be shamed. I’m tired of all the excuses for their laziness and disrespect these days. Time to whip this country back into shape. Go Sebastian.
