I want to take a moment to thank those who voted for Joe or “anyone but Trump” for the condition of our country right now. You own this. Joe’s gallivanting all over the globe and not in the White House, where he was elected to serve. But he has time for stumping to get Democratic candidates voted into office. He nor the VP has held any press conferences, just scripted, staged publicity stunts. He’s created major job losses, shortfalls on products for everyday Americans and dependence on other countries to get what we need to manufacture products in our own country. He left Americans behind in Afghanistan, and is catering to those coming here illegally. He intends to provide more financial means to those here illegally vs those who’ve served in our military or struggling Americans. If you haven’t heard, we have a caravan of about 19,000 people heading our way, but have no means of keeping them out, nor attempts to do so. He’s taken us back to the ’70’s and not in a good way. If you haven’t heard about this, seriously, tune into Fox News because they’re the only ones who will tell you what’s going on. Your emperor has no clothes. Oh, and good luck trying to decide if you will eat or heat this winter.
We hear nothing
Did you know Waukegan has a two-person public relations department? How would any of us know since they seem to do nothing. City events? We hear nothing. No word. No notice. Nothing. Lunch with the Mayor? Mainstreet? Let us know. We should get weekly schedules of city meetings, events, etc. Waukegan should be in the news as much as possible. That’s what public relations is. We should not be given notice of a parade the morning it’s gonna occur. Now I’m sure the Waukegan public relations personnel are nice people, but they do nothing. Maybe that’s more deadwood Mayor Taylor can cut.
Shame on him
Jonah Goldberg should be ashamed of himself, citing for the good of nuclear power. He even went so far as to falsely state that the Three Mile Island accident in the ’90’s did not cause any increase in cancer cases. The truth of the Three Mile Island nuclear accident is that it did in fact increase cancer cases for approximately a year after. Then the cases declined. Coming from near the Zion nuclear plant where there were notable cancer clusters during the height of its operations, it is just concerning that we would want to go back to this. Not to mention that we have spent nuclear rods being stored, as no one wants them. Who’s monitoring the maintenance of aging storage facilities of nuclear waste in Zion and elsewhere in our country? If this waste starts leaking into our communities and water supplies, it could be worse than the Michigan lead water problems. Is Jonah Goldberg being paid by the nuclear lobbyists to publicly support this? Shame on him.

You’ll need two heads to navigate this maze — One to look over your left shoulder at the oncoming traffic that won’t slow down for you, and the other to negotiate the cloverleaf from Grand Avenue when the two ramps merge. The only safe way to make this turn is to drive on the shoulder to avoid the northbound cars.

PETA and this cancel culture garbage is getting to be ridiculous. Now PETA is going after the All-American game of baseball and calling the pitchers’ practice area the “bullpen?” Seriously? Are bulls finding this offensive? No they aren’t. The only ones finding it offensive are you whamsy-pansy people making a big deal out of nothing. Good grief, give me a break people. I don’t belong to either political party, so don’t make it political. I’m just an American fed up with this bull. No pun intended.
Why are you still whining?
Why is the whole world giving out free vaccines? Duh? How many here or worldwide have died after getting vaccinated? Huh? See any adults or kids crying while getting the shot? Why not? Why are you still whining about getting it?
Not fair for the elderly
Biden’s new budget will take care of Medicaid recipients, but those receiving Medicare get nothing. What is going on here? Medicare is not free. The elderly do pay for a portion of it. Why are Medicaid recipients placed ahead of the elderly? Medicaid recipients include illegals and people that don’t work, and they never will.
