.It’s not the cops
The paper reported that the Lake County sheriff will support Chicago. Really? Helping a city that has a mayor who is so backward? As a retired law enforcement officer, I would ask is this the sheriff’s call or the officers? Political? Really? Just what we need with the Illegals and shooting, etc., in Lake County. Our taxes supporting Chicago? Get it together. That city has caused their own issues. It’s not the cops.
Sports trivia
Most readers would agree that this column is way too political. So, I thought I’d add some baseball sports trivia. I just realized that all three cities that hosted the Braves made the playoffs this year. Note to the McCaskeys: if you do move to Arlington Heights, change the name to the Braves.
Why is he discriminating?
Sheriff Idleburg refused the Kenosha County sheriff’s request for Lake County deputies to help in Kenosha during the riots in 2020. Now, Idleburg will send Lake County deputies to help in Chicago. Why is Idleburg discriminating against Kenosha, and favoring Chicago?
Too into themselves
Some people are adamantly disgusted by other people’s choices, views and behaviors and must be vocal, hateful and hurtful. Many people are disapproving of these disgusted people, but are compassionate enough to accept them and not be vocal. Unfortunately, the disgusted people don’t realize that they are disgusting too. They’re too into themselves to see beyond themselves.

Doomsday Knocker, you are in such denial. The reason football stadiums are now full is because of smart, caring people being vaccinated. If it weren’t for the majority of those attending these venues being vaccinated, we wouldn’t be where we are today enjoying this freedom. So swallow your blind pride and thank the true patriot next to you who’s vaccinated for making this possible. Also, in case you’re not up to date, there are a few NFL teams requiring attendees to show proof of at least one vaccination, and more will surely follow. Most large music venues have been requiring this for quite some time. So go ahead and stay home to watch on TV instead of being out there in the stadiums Doomsday Knocker. Good grief, you would think over 700,000 fellow Americans dead from this virus would wake you people up before you become part of that statistic. Good luck with that.
