Car enthusiasts and lovers of food were able to enjoy the weather and both at the Burr Ridge Car Show and Taste of Burr Ridge Saturday.
The car show was held in the parking lot between Village Green and Lifetime Fitness at the Village Center, while the Taste of Burr Ridge was located at the Village Center.
According to Burr Ridge officials, more than 150 cars registered for the car show.
“The lineup of cars was incredible, which made judging difficult!” village officials tweeted Tuesday.
Hannah Weyant, the Community Engagement Analyst for the Village of Burr Ridge, said before Saturday that the village wanted to combine the events to better serve area residents.
Both events were paused last year due to COVID-19, and this is also the first time the events shared a day — and a space. Normally, the Taste would be spread out over Saturday and Sunday, but the restaurants weren’t sure they could commit to two days with staffing concerns.
The Taste of Burr Ridge celebrated local eateries and chefs — including some pop-up options like food trucks. And included bands ARRA and Reckless and as patrons watched cooking demonstrations. It was the first time that such an event included food trucks.
