New East Dundee police contract includes 3% raise
This East Dundee Village Board this week unanimously approved a four-year contract with its police union that calls for 3% raises until 2025.
Under the terms of the contract, police officers will receive a 3% cost of living increase in each of the four years of the contract. This year’s increase is retroactive to May 1, Trustee Scott Kunze said.
The contract also allows for a longevity bonus each November. The bonuses range from $100 for officers with less than five years of service to $600 for officers with more than 26 years of service.
East Dundee Village Administrator Jennifer Ramsay and East Dundee Village President Jeff Lynam did not respond to requests for comments.
