Long way home: If Justin Fields truly is the future of the Chicago Bears then it seems their path to a Super Bowl is destined to be a long and winding road.

More disaster ahead: How long can we put up with (Bears coach Matt) Nagy? To not score a touchdown in an NFL game is ludicrous. They are a team with no direction. Look forward to a disaster season.

Learn to drive: I see another state trooper’s vehicle was hit on the shoulder by a truck driver. Why are so many truck drivers hitting state trooper vehicles parked on the shoulder? Don’t they know to move over?

Rich getting richer: The big corporations and utilities don’t get it. The increase in minimum wages was supposed to come out of your excessive profits and unconscionable inflated CEO pay, not from inflationary price rises on products and services. You are the broken supply chain. Fix it now. You are so big and powerful you don’t have to rely on so-called supply and demand theory. No one cares what consumers want or can afford anymore. Tax the rich has to have teeth. For those corporations doing business in the USA, we must tax profits over and above a rational and socially responsible return on investment.

Crackdown needed: I see a way for Illinois to get more money in its coffers. More and more you see Illinois plates that have been sprayed and wiped to eradicated the numbers so when they go through the toll booth it can’t be read. Get the police to stop and ticket these cars or a warning ticket that these motorists must get new plates or they get a hefty ticket for driving with an unreadable plate.

Help the fast-food worker: Regarding our love and enjoyment of fast-food restaurants, specifically drive thru restaurants. I frequent a lot of them, McDonald’s, Wendys, Culver’s. I notice most of the people working there are teenagers or young college students. I always think that if I can afford to buy fast food, I should be able to give them a tip, no matter how small it is. Please think of the workers, there because they need the money. Please give them some thought and some of your spare change.

Ethical GOP needs to step up: After seeing the Arizona election recount you would think common sense would settle the debate? Making accusations without proof has become the model for the Republican Party? Ethical Republicans need to take control of their party.
