Now we know
I have to ask, what is our vice president doing about the thousands of illegal immigrants coming into our country? Harris was given the task months ago of solving the problem, and what exactly has she done? Nothing. You don’t even hear a single mumble from her on what she is doing to solve the problem, and stop all these people from crowding into our country. Thousands can be seen under a bridge waiting for us to allow them into our country. And, what the heck do we do with them? Many might be criminals, who knows. We might as well not have a vice president. What a mistake she was for Biden. It sounded good at the time, but now we know.
Is nothing private anymore?
Sometimes it’s best to leave things as they once were. Transparency has caused problems in our country, and in our families. Social media has fueled the fires with this transparency. We need to get back to keeping politics and religion a private matter. Is nothing private anymore? Good grief.
A fire fest
The other night, we finally had an evening we could open up the front and back doors to try and get some breeze in the house without having the air conditioning running, and guess what? The old Winthrop Harbor burn ordinance, which isn’t worth a darn, allows people apparently to burn whatever trash, old wood or similar items during evening hours. This caused us — due to my wife’s asthma — to shut down our doors and windows so we couldn’t enjoy the summer breeze. When is this going to stop in Winthrop Harbor? I would like someone in authority to speak up about the problem of people burning their trash. I can hardly wait until the leaves fall, and then we’ll really have a fire fest just like out West.
How about you?
Before I retired, I had a job and paid into my own pension fund. Now I took a close look at the real estate taxing body for my home. It has eight lines that are retirement funds for all over the county. These people have jobs, so why do I have to pay for their retirement. Why don’t they pay for their own retirement package the same way that I did? I get one small Social Security check a month, and the whole county is raping me. People have to look real close at the election ballots when they vote. Now the Warren school district wants me to pay for some students’ parking fees. I am voting no, how about you?
No honor among thieves
Well, what do we all think? Do we as ordinary citizens really have a say? I say no. Its politics at its best. No agreement between themselves even. If they raise corporate taxes, the tax on the rich, etc., what do you think will be the outcome? Paying for that bill will mean higher prices and prolonged debt. The corporate businesses will raise their prices, and who pays then? Us, the regular citizens. This president and so many others are destroying the American way and dream. No honor among thieves.
Not going to work
So, did we all see it on the news? They’re really suing gang members in civil court in Chicago. Um, let’s see. Serve a summons on a gang member? Yea right. First find them, serve them and, of course, they will show up. That makes as much common sense as an Illegal showing up in court when they are issued a notice to appear for their court date. This is what Democratic mayors come up to fight crime?
Idiot or insane?
Let me ask, is Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin as much of an idiot as he appears to be, or is it my imagination? Someone please tell me the answer because when listening to him, it is very difficult to tell. He is either an idiot or just plain insane. Anyone out there agree?

To the person describing the irresponsible governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, regarding his handling of COVID-19: He’s not the only Republican governor still supporting and fearing Donald Trump, and the consequences of The Big Lie. Every American is suffering, and many are dying, due to their reckless actions. These government officials clearly have no conscience and are determined to prolong the effects of COVID-19. There is talk DeSantis will run for president in 2024. Just remember how you feel about him, and the others like him, when 2024 rolls around.
