After the Cubs World Series win, they raised their ticket prices 20% to pay for all their new stars. Now that they’ve gutted the team and are essentially fielding a minor league team, shouldn’t they lower the ticket prices to reflect the millions they’re saving on payroll?

As we all watch the disaster unfolding in Afghanistan, we should all be asking and questioning what went wrong. There is no doubt in this vet’s mind that politics, especially the POTUS, is at fault. So, as we all watch those brave soldiers and their leaders who failed them at the Pentagon they are there for each other, Americans and those that helped us. Just remember you voted for this POTUS and, as your sons and daughters go into harm’s way, as brave soldiers do, who will you question when its all over?
Their time to walk away
An article in the Tribune relayed the fact that in a pandemic and a nursing shortage, over 640,000 nurses nationwide are baby boomers ready to retire. Nurses are walking away from $43/hour jobs to take $20,000 bonuses and make up to $140/hour elsewhere, as is their right. As more baby boomers reach old age, there will be an increase for more hospital care. Yet, we read article after article of the unvaccinated getting deathly ill and seeking treatment. You want your rights and your freedom? You have the right to die at home. Feel free to reject wearing a mask. I bet you don’t reject wearing an oxygen mask. Health care workers are exhausted. It’s their right to walk away.
Where are the fathers?
Women are the weaker sex, and men are the stronger sex. Many women work until baby comes and after, holding up the family the best they can and come home to their nonpaying job of raising and taking care of their family. Where are the fathers? Married, divorced or neither, many fathers are not involved in their children’s lives, nor support them.
Students rule with bad behavior
School bus drivers are always in demand. It is a job that the students rule with their bad behavior. A driver cannot discipline or remove a student from the bus. Who wants to be subject to the violence of todays youth. Thirteen-year-olds have been known to attack and carjack people. I would not want to be driving a bus with my back to this type of child or animal.

Get a brain
I can’t believe the parents of our kids. Parents protesting at a school board meeting regarding their kids being required to wear a mask. What the heck is the big deal? If a mask protects your child, and more and more children are becoming COVID patients, why are they protesting? What a bunch of idiots. They don’t give a heck about their own kids. They worry about someone telling them what to do. That’s the issue instead of caring for children. Again, I’ll say it. What a bunch of idiots. I wish most of these parents would experience COVID themselves. Maybe that would make them get a brain.
