Why should we do this for him?
Why does Illinois feel obligated to erect the Obama library? He was not born here, did nothing for Illinois when he was a senator and now that he is out of office, he is nowhere to be seen. Illinois is so deeply in debt, and the presidential library will only dig us deeper into debt. Let Hawaii, his birthplace, tackle that project. Obama did nothing for Illinois, so why should we do this for him?
Don’t push it on me
If these brainwashed people want to get that virus shot, go ahead and take it. But I for one don’t trust the government. I don’t trust the shot. I do not trust the government at all. So you do what you want. Don’t push it on me.
The best thing to do
I’m calling in response to the entitled “Take care of yourself” entry in the Talk of the County. No one is forcing you to get a vaccine. The companies have a right to make it a necessity to be employed by them. If you don’t want to take a vaccine, go work for a company that doesn’t require it. No one is taking your rights away. They’re trying to inform you that it is the best thing to do for yourself and for the country.
Own it
Politicians need to stop their virtue signaling along with Democrats and half of the Republicans. The only people interested in the plight of women and girls in Afghanistan are the 20% of the American population that did not want us to get out of Afghanistan. Yeah, I happen to be one of them because we’ve lost every intelligence opportunity we could have. We lost air bases where we could get in and out from, 5,000 American troops in Afghanistan, taking care of airstrikes and pinpointing missiles and things of that sort when we haven’t had a U.S. death in 18 months. We had the country mostly stabilized, but then Joe Biden took over and since he’s been in office, the stuff has hit the fan. But no Democrat should even be whining about the plight of women and girls in Afghanistan. You made your choice and you need to own it.

We need boots in Afghanistan
As for this Afghanistan mess that President Biden caused: I’m a military veteran. We don’t need suits in Washington calling the shots. We need boots in Afghanistan kicking the Taliban’s butts.
Are the Democrats this stupid?
Washington called up 25,000 National Guard troops to protect the politicians, but now they won’t call up the National Guard to protect Americans in Afghanistan. Are the Democrats this stupid?
Out of hand
I read in the paper that Warren High School wants to raise taxes just for the kids to have cheaper parking. This has got to stop. Taxes to pay for the kids? That’s nonsense. You know what, if people have kids they should pay for them themselves. I mean, I’m a senior citizen who lives on a budget and this is ridiculous. Every time you turn around, the schools want to raise the money for you. If you want to have all these kids, pay for them. This has gotten out of hand. I’m sick of these schools. All they do is keep building.
