Making things worse: It had to give gang members a warm feeling of contentment to see dissension erupt between the people who should be acting as one to disrupt the drug-dealing and gun-smuggling that has plagued Chicago for years.—

One reason for vaccination: There are all kind of incentives to encourage people to get vaccinated. My incentive is to stay alive and live long enough to see ex-President Donald Trump wearing an orange jump suit and safely put away in a federal prison for a long time. So please join me and get vaccinated.

Horses deserve medals: After watching very athletic horses jump over barricades in the Olympics and then seeing the medal being awarded to the rider rather than the horse, I find it quite laughable. Once a horse is trained to jump that well, in a few months you can train one of those 13-year-old kids who were falling off their skateboards and bike to ride that horse. Give the medal to the horse.

Risking children’s lives: So sad to see so many people willing to put their children’s lives on the line by protesting the mandatory wearing of masks in school. Almost 20% of those hospitalized with COVID-19 in Texas are children. Even mild cases of COVID-19 can have long-term effects. And those under 12 still are not able to he vaccinated. What are these folks thinking?

Impossible to know: Chicago’s top doctor is reporting that Lollapalooza was not a COVID-19 “superspreader” spreader event. Given recent concerns and challenges concerning this event, what else would we expect from city officials? Was every person that attended contacted? No. Were all asymptotic people included in the count? No. How is it possible that “roughly” 200 reported cases of COVID-19 occurred at Lollapalooza if all participants were either vaccinated or tested negative within three days of attending?

Rewarded for murder: Since former Gov. Quinn repealed the Illinois death penalty, the killer of the young female Chicago police officer will get free lifetime room and board in jail at taxpayer expense.

No too much to ask: Why can’t we just start the school year by wearing masks? Don’t we want to keep the schools open? Let’s keep our own kids safe along with all adults and kids in the building. Kids have accepted wearing masks. It’s the adults that haven’t.
