While Chicago pared down the 2021 version of the annual Air and Water Show, this weekend’s two days of demonstrations by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels remains a fun sight for Chicagoans looking for an excuse to get outside and soak up the dog days of summer.

The city recommends heading to North Avenue and Oak Street beaches to catch the action from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, but to further elevate the aerial experience, check out these eight special ways to take it all in at bars, restaurants and a luxury boat or two — and don’t forget to bring a mask.
