Rift not good: Turning their backs on the leader of Chicago may have given the police a momentary feeling of euphoria the other day but the last thing Chicagoans need is a rift between law enforcement and city hall, especially with violence at an all-time high.
Do not forget: Say her name. Officer Ella French. The sad thing is in a few days people will forget her name. But society remembers a criminal who was killed over a year ago. I will not say his name. Officer Ella French, God bless you, and rest in peace.
QAnon theories crazy: One of the QAnon conspiracy theories premised is the belief that a global cabal at the top of the U.S. government is secretly murdering and eating children. How many other irrational unsubstantiated schemes do they accept as being a fact?
Thanks for nothing: The Joe Biden negative policies are taking full hold on America. Paying way more for gasoline. Groceries are higher. Lumber prices are skyrocketing. Now my mechanic says that it’s harder to get parts especially brakes and rotors. Thank you, Joe Biden.
Waiting for refunds: Heard the other night people are still waiting for their checks from the IRS. That’s funny. If you owe them, they put a lien on your house. I guess we can put a lien on the IRS.
No comparison: Likening the polio vaccine to the COVID-19 vaccine is a misrepresentation. The polio vaccine was fully approved vs. emergency use declaration. Second, polio could result in serious physical disabilities for anyone, from President Roosevelt to my young friend Paul. COVID-19 causes death primarily among the elderly and those with co-morbidities. Many people who are healthy and younger may be asymptomatic or have mild cases and develop natural immunity. Yes, all you Trump-haters, I am fully vaccinated. My choice.
Get off Ricketts’ back: Every time I read the paper, they say Cubs chairman Ricketts, in just five years, lost lost all the goodwill from the World Series title. Tell me what is going on with this? Ricketts bought it and the Cubs have won more games than the Sox. Jerry Reinsdorf, they won in 2005 but it’s only .500 or more in the last 16 years. Why is Reinsdorf getting all this praise? Ricketts, hold your head up high. You did a good job with the Cubs. At least the Cubs were in the playoffs and fighting for playoffs, not like the Sox.
